Beatitude House schedules groundbreaking
WARREN — The Beatitude House will hold a groundbreaking ceremony for its $1.5 million expansion project at its Warren shelter, 1370 Tod Avenue N.W., at 10 a.m. Nov. 6.
The project will provide homes for six additional families, add a classroom and children’s playroom and provide other improvements. The Warren location currently provides housing to up to seven families at a time.
Beatitude House, sponsored by the Ursuline Sisters of Youngstown, a religious order of the Roman Catholic Church, is committed to disadvantaged women and children in Mahoning and Trumbull counties. The agency provides transitional housing for families for up to two years, as well as education.
