Community center site of benefit dinner

CAMPBELL — The Community Center at Roosevelt Park will be the setting for a spaghetti dinner to be served from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday as a benefit for Donn Candella of Campbell, who had an allogenic bone marrow transplant at the Cleveland Clinic for a type of cancer called myleodysplasia. Terry Candella of Chicago was the donor for his brother.

Candella must remain in Cleveland at least till the end of October because of the high risk of infection or rejection.

Tickets for the dinner are $10 for adults, and children under 10 are free. In conjunction with the dinner, there will be a Chinese auction and 50-50 raffle.

Proceeds from the event will help offset the great financial burden facing Candella, his wife, Gloria, and their two children.
