Retired teachers plan meeting, workshop

WARREN — Shirley Lisk, a motivational speaker and manager of St. Joe’s at the Mall, will present the program when Trumbull Retired Teachers meet Oct. 14 at G’s Golden Gate Restaurant on Parkman Road.

The cost for the noon luncheon and program will be $8.50, and reservations are to be made with Mary Novotny, 5700 Sarah Ave. N.W., Warren, OH 44483.

At the meeting, Barb Wright and S.P. Wright, who have been nominated as outstanding Mahoning Valley seniors by two organizations, will collect clothing for the Poorest of the Poor, cell phones, eyeglasses, worsted yarn, candle wax and used postage stamps.

The retirement committee, directed by Anna Mae Cuchna and Diana Bauman, will present a retirement workshop from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 22 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
