Fitch girls soccer team still leads Federal League

AUSTINTOWN — With a big showdown against Boardman looming, it would’ve been easy for the Austintown Fitch to look past Massillon Perry.

But the Falcons were able to keep their heads in the game and walked away with a 1-0 victory over the Panthers Wednesday night.

“It says a lot about our team,” said Carlo Trafficante, Fitch’s coach. “Before the game we talked about how if we finished the game off tonight we’d a least have a share of first place and if we lost we could finish as low as fourth.”
