Monday Musical to sponsor collection at concert as Rescue Mission benefit

YOUNGSTOWN — The third Monday Musical concert of the 2008-09 season will be presented at 7 p.m. Dec. 14 at Stambaugh Auditorium, 1000 Fifth Avenue, where guests will be welcomed by a preconcert performance by the Boardman Singers.

The featured entertainer will be Debby Boone, who will be joined during the performance by members of the Boardman High School Choral.

Before Boone appears on stage, donations will be collected for the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley, to be used to make the holidays a little brighter for those in need.

More than $32,000 has been donated by concertgoers to the Monday Musical since the inception of the collection concerts.

Buffet dinners will also be available on concert night for a small additional fee.
