• CANFIELD — Jennifer Marie Mateja, 147 Grant Ave., Bellevue, Pa., and Ernest Jeffrey Zavoral Jr., of 5375 Mission Hills Drive, were married at 2 p.m. Sept. 20 at St. Michael Church.

The daughter of Tom and Elaine Mateja, of 3225 Meadow Lane, New Castle, Pa., and the son of Ernie and Kim Zavoral, also of the Mission Hills address, were honored at a reception at Tippecanoe Country Club.

The bride’s diamond-white strapless gown was embellished with crystals.

Stephanie Mateja was her honor attendant, and bridesmaids were Elisa Fricke, Christy Wallisch, Jessica Worgul, and Emily and Kelly Zavoral. They wore copper-colored gowns.

Michael Herndon was best man, and groomsmen included Ronnie Fricke, Robbie Herndon, Brian Mateja, Tim Roman, Brian Straley, Mike Whitaker and Mike Worgul.

Greg Harkey and Tyler Herndon ushered guests.

The bride earned a bachelor’s degree at Youngstown State University and a dental medicine degree at the University of Pittsburgh School of Dental Medicine, and is pursuing a master’s in public health at the University of Pittsburgh School of Public Health. She is a dental resident in periodontics at the University of Pittsburgh.

The groom earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration and marketing at Ohio University. He works as a market research specialist for Brand New Era LLC.

The newlyweds live in Bellevue.
