Drive to benefit shelter
LISBON — Columbiana County Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities is asking the public to help with its annual holiday drive. The board is asking for donations to Christina House, which serves as Catholic Charities Regional Agency’s domestic violence shelter.
The shelter was named after St. Christina, who also was a victim of violence, primarily at the hands of her father.
The board is seeking items such as blankets, towels, combs, brushes, shampoo and conditioner, soaps, deodorants, toothbrushes, books, word searches and crossword puzzles.
The items will be collected by Bycroft School, both Bycroft workshops — EDI South in Calcutta and EDI Central in Lisbon — or the Adult Senior Center in Lisbon by Friday.
