“The Simpsons” (8 p.m., Fox): On “The Simpsons,” a happy Lisa gets her very own Mypod at the Mapple store. That must be music to the ears of Steve Mobbs.

“Cheech & Chong Roasted” (10 p.m., TBS): “Cheech & Chong Roasted” has the recently reunited stoner comedy team taking the heat as friends and celebrities turn out for a smack-talking tribute. Tom Arnold, Geraldo Rivera, Steve Carell, Rev. Al Sharpton, Andy Dick and others join host Brad Garrett.

“Britney: For the Record” (10 p.m., MTV): Britney Spears is taking another stab at a comeback. Of course, “comeback” is a relative term for someone who has been in the spotlight constantly for months — but for all the wrong reasons.

“Britney: For The Record” is being billed as a 90-minute documentary that allows Spears “to tell her side of the story in her own words,” says MTV. It includes a behind-the-scenes look at how she made her new CD, “Circus,” and a perspective of what it’s like to be Spears these days. With what appears to be a stronger relationship with her children and a lower personal profile, Spears is poised to be taken more seriously as an entertainer.

“For The Record” is one way Spears can readjust her image from being a tabloid star to a serious recording artist. MTV says “For The Record” took three months to make, and no topics were off-limits.

“Faith Hill: Joy To The World” (9 p.m., CMT): The country star sings seasonal favorites, backed by an orchestra.
