Cedars show to help hospitalized worker


YOUNGSTOWN — A concert and auction to benefit Lindsey Hosking of Youngstown will begin at 7 p.m. Sunday at Cedars Lounge, 23 N. Hazel St., Downtown. Hosking, 24, originally of Girard, is an employee of both Cedars and the Mocha House in Boardman, recently suffered a ruptured aneurysm and has undergone multiple surgeries at St. Elizabeth Health Center and at University Hospital in Cleveland, where she is now in recovery.

Sunday’s concert will feature 11 local bands: Sam Goodwill, Posture Coach, Death Crazed Teenage Superheroes, Rocket Radio, Golden Retreiver, Shynola, The Realtime Digimob, Sonny Hopchek and Tim Gilliland, Joe Shelby, Pete Drivere, and an acoustic set by Asleep. A silent and chance auction will include artwork from local artists, including Christopher Leeper, Jack Carlton, Anthony Armeni, Boris Chesakov, Robyn Maas and members of the Artists of the Mahoning Commons.

All proceeds will be used to help Hosking with her medical bills.
