T-shirts featured in Black Friday shopping spree
BOARDMAN — Lorie Barber of New Middletown, and her niece, Sarah Yantek, 12, of Cleveland, made matching T-shirts to mark their holiday shopping excursion.
“Black Friday maniac,” the shirt fronts read. On the back of Barber’s, “BF aunt,” and the back of Sarah’s “BF niece.”
They arrived at the Target store at the Shops and Boardman Park about 5 a.m. The store opened at 6 a.m.
It was the first year Sarah made the early-morning trip with her aunt and mother, Nancy Yantek. Sarah wanted to get up and start shopping even earlier, but her mom and aunt wouldn’t go for it.
“After dinner, Sarah said, ‘Just think, we’ll be shopping in 12 hours.’”
