Angels taking orders for reduced-cost food

YOUNGSTOWN — Crossroads Church, 554 S. Meridian Road, will be taking orders for Angel Food Blessings in a Box.

Crossroads Church is a host site for the Angel Food Program, which helps reduce the amount you spend on groceries each month. Cost is $30 per unit and includes meats, vegetables, fruit and more — $75 worth of groceries.

There are no income restrictions or guidelines. If you eat, you qualify. Pre-order, prepay cash, money orders and Ohio Direction Card are accepted.

Orders will be taken on the following days and times:

Monday, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; next Wednesday, 3:30 to 6:30 p.m.; Dec. 6, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.; Dec. 8, 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (last day to place orders for December menu).
