NFL ROUNDUP \ Sunday’s other games

Jets 34, Titans 13

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — Brett Favre threw two touchdown passes and Leon Washington ran for two scores as the Jets snapped Tennessee’s 13-game regular-season winning streak. The Jets (8-3) have won five straight for the first time since October 2004 and seven of their last eight. The Titans (10-1) hadn’t lost since Dec. 16, 2007, in becoming only the 11th team since 1970 to win its first 10 games. Favre threw for 224 yards and had much more help than Kerry Collins, whose receivers dropped at least five passes in the first half. With the win, Favre broke a tie with Dan Marino for victories in the most NFL stadiums by winning in his 32nd at LP Field.

Patriots 48, Dolphins 28

MIAMI — Matt Cassel threw for 415 yards and Randy Moss caught three touchdown passes as the resilient Patriots (7-4) won a shootout. For the Dolphins (6-5), the loss snapped a four-game winning streak and hurt their chances of an improbable playoff berth after going 1-15 last year. Cassel had his second consecutive 400-yard day, completing 30 of 43 passes, including touchdowns of 25, 8 and 29 to Moss. The wide receiver made eight catches for 125 yards for his best day since an injury ended Tom Brady’s season. Chad Pennington threw for a career-high 341 yards and three touchdowns, and ran for one. He completed 24 of 41 passes with one interception for the Dolphins.

Ravens 36, Eagles 7

BALTIMORE — Pulled after an awful first half, Donovan McNabb watched from the sideline as Baltimore presented first-year coach John Harbaugh with a lopsided victory over the team he served as an assistant for 10 years. Ed Reed picked off McNabb’s replacement, Kevin Kolb, and returned the interception an NFL-record 108 yards for a touchdown to give Baltimore (7-4) a 22-point cushion with 7:24 left. McNabb was 8-for-18 for 59 yards with two interceptions and a fumble in the first half — a miserable 13.2 quarterback rating. Kolb failed to cure the ailing Eagles offense, going 10-for-23 for 73 yards and two interceptions. Philadelphia’s only touchdown came on a 100-yard kickoff return by Quintin Demps in the first half.

Bills 54, Chiefs 31

KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Trent Edwards threw for two touchdowns and ran for two others as Buffalo scored more points than had ever been scored against Kansas City. The Bills (6-5) pounced on five Kansas City turnovers and came within four points of matching their 42-year-old record for most points in a game. The previous high against the Chiefs was 51 in an overtime loss at Seattle in 1983. Rian Lindell kicked four field goals and Leodis McKelvin returned an interception 64 yards for a score for the Bills, who had lost four in a row after starting 4-0. Edwards was 24-of-32 for 273 yards and two touchdowns, and scored on runs of 5 and 15 yards. The Chiefs (1-10) lost three fumbles and Tyler Thigpen threw two interceptions. It’s the 19th loss in 20 games for the Chiefs.

Vikings 30, Jaguars 12

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Adrian Peterson ran for 80 yards and a touchdown and the Vikings used two scores in the first 1:41 to beat Jacksonville. Jacksonville had five turnovers, none more costly than the two fumbles to open the game. The Vikings’ Gus Frerotte was knocked out of the game twice, but finished 12-of-20 for 120 yards with an interception.

Bears 27, Rams 3

ST. LOUIS — Rookie Matt Forte had a season-high 132 yards rushing and scored on two long runs and Marc Bulger lasted only five plays before sustaining a concussion against a defense that had three of a season-best five sacks by the break and helped Chicago build a 21-point cushion. Kyle Orton has thrown 185 consecutive passes without an interception, setting a franchise record for the Bears (6-5), who intercepted Trent Green four times in the second half, including two by Lance Briggs.

Buccaneers 38, Lions 20

DETROIT — The Buccaneers (8-3) trailed 17-0 after the first quarter before all three phases scored to contribute to a rout. Warrick Dunn ran for a touchdown and Jeff Garcia connected with Ike Hilliard and Jerramy Stevens for scores in the second quarter to put the Bucs ahead 21-17. Clifton Smith returned a punt 70 yards early in the third to give them an 11-point cushion. Carnell “Cadillac” Williams had 27 yards rushing on 16 carries in his first game since a knee injury almost ended his career 14 months ago. Detroit (0-11) moved a step closer toward becoming the NFL’s first 0-16 team. Daunte Culpepper completed just eight of 20 passes for 121 yards, a score and two interceptions. He was benched in the third quarter, but had to go back in the game because Drew Stanton was sidelined with a concussion.

Giants 37, Cardinals 29

GLENDALE, Ariz. — Eli Manning threw for three touchdowns in his return to the scene of his Super Bowl MVP performance and the Giants snapped the Cardinals’ seven-game home winning streak. With starting running back Brandon Jacobs out with a knee injury, the Giants took to the air to win their sixth in a row. Manning completed 26 of 33 for 240 yards with no interceptions. Kurt Warner was 32-for-52 for 351 yards and a touchdown for Arizona (7-4). He was intercepted once and fumbled once, both leading to Giants touchdowns.

Oakland 31, Denver 10

DENVER — Ashley Lelie, who forced a trade out of Denver in 2006 after a bitter holdout, returned to Invesco Field and helped lead Oakland to a stunning win by catching a touchdown pass and setting up another with a 51-yard reception. Rookie Darren McFadden ran for two 1-yard touchdowns and the Raiders (3-8) snapped a four-game losing streak. The Raiders also got a punt return for a touchdown from Johnnie Lee Higgins for the second straight week.

Falcons 45, Panthers 28

ATLANTA — Michael Turner scored four touchdowns and rookie Harry Douglas scored his first career TD on a 7-yard end around, caught a 69-yard pass that set up a TD, then finished off Carolina with a 61-yard punt return. Atlanta (7-4) jumped out to a 17-0 lead, endured a Carolina comeback and blew it open in the fourth quarter.Jake Delhomme was 21-of-35 for 295 yards, hooking up with Steve Smith on eight passes for 168 yards for the Panthers (8-3).

Redskins 20, Seahawks 17

SEATTLE — Clinton Portis darted and pounded for 143 yards on 29 carries, including key ones late that helped preserve the Redskins’ first victory in almost a month. Portis was questionable to play after missing most of practice this week because of his sprained knee. Then, the NFL’s leader in yards from scrimmage injured a muscle near his hip late in the first half, when he rushed for 69 of his yards.
