ministerial association The details

In its purpose statement, the Greater Austintown Ministerial Association (GAMA) describes itself as a fellowship of Christian leaders. It exists to present to the local community a living witness to Christ by concrete acts of mercy and assistance in the name of Jesus.

GAMA participants: Brad Bloomster and the Rev. David “Duffy” Roberts of Austintown Community Church, Jackie Burley of Protestant Family Service, the Rev. John Hutchinson of Emmanuel Community Church, the Rev. George Lee of First United Methodist Church of West Austintown, the Revs. Robert Offerdahl and David Verzilli of Native American Ministries, the Rev. Elmarie Parker of Wickliffe Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Janet Sprague of Smith Corners United Methodist Church, the Rev. Rick Stauffer of Tabernacle Evangelical Presbyterian Church, the Rev. Dan Tayman of Bethel Assembly of God, the Rev. John Trimbur of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Rev. Andy Wade of Wickliffe Christian Church.

Ministries: Transient Aid Fund in cooperation with Austintown Police Department, which offers lodging, food and gas money to transients in need; Protestant Family Service, a private social service agency that serves the Mahoning Valley; and ecumenical worship services at Thanksgiving and during Lent.
