Kopps observe 60th anniversary in Columbiana


• STRUTHERS — The 60th anniversary of their wedding was celebrated by Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Kopp, 593 W. Wilson St., in the company of family and friends on Nov. 22 at Das Dutch Haus in Columbiana.

Invitations for the dinner were issued by the couple’s children and their spouses, Kerry and Sara Kopp of Florida; John and Betsy Kopp and Kenny and Julie Kopp, all of Struthers; Susan and Sam Ferreri of Poland; and Christa Kopp and her fianc , David Weaver, of Poland. Rounding out the family are 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Married on Nov. 26, 1948, at Faith Lutheran Church in Youngstown, Mrs. Kopp, the former Alice Mirth, and her husband are members of Christ Lutheran Church.

Mrs. Kopp, a homemaker, was a secretary at Youngstown Sheet and Tube Co. and has been a member of the 500 Bid Card Club for more than 50 years.

A U.S. Navy veteran, Mr. Kopp served aboard the USS Missouri during World War II. He is retired after 43 years of service as an engineer with New York Central Railroad and is a 32nd Degree Mason with Sulgrave Lodge.
