YOUNGSTOWN — Chaney High School Class of 1978 is having an informal 30th reunion/gathering at 7 p.m. Saturday at Mahoning Valley Lanes (the Old Gran Lanes at Schenley and Mahoning avenues). Attire will be casual, and there will be free appetizers and a cash bar. Church’s Shoppers Mart to sell inexpensive gifts

LAKE MILTON — For those who need to cut back on Christmas shopping, the Lake Milton Presbyterian Church, 924 Grandview Road, is having a one-day Shoppers Mart from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday. New and like-new items will be available. Prices will range from free to $5. The sale is great for teachers’ gifts, gift exchanges, etc. Free gift wrapping and free coffee and soup are being offered.

Christmas past will visit historic Barnhisel House

GIRARD — Christmas at the historic Barnhisel House, 1011 N. State St., will be on display weekends from 1-5 p.m. Saturday-Nov. 30, Dec. 6-7, and Dec. 13-14.

Holiday decorating is being done by Girard Moccasin Garden Club, Girard Herb Society, Flowers & Alternatives, and creative Design & Landscaping.

Refreshments will be served daily, and there will be musical entertainment on Sundays. Admission cost is $5 for adults; $4 for seniors; and $2 for children. Parking is available at Frankford Bicycle.

Rotary Club plans annual Christmas auction

EAST PALESTINE — The East Palestine Rotary Club will have its 13th Annual Christmas Auction at 4 p.m. Friday at East Palestine Elementary School cafeteria, 195 E. Grant St. Doors will open at 3 p.m. for a preview of the merchandise.

New Christmas items, collectibles, name-brand toys, cosmetics, jewelry, As Seen on TV merchandise and many other items will be auctioned.

Proceeds benefit the East Palestine Social Concerns and the East Palestine Rotary Club. The Rotary will have food available including hot dogs, hamburgers, sloppy joes, and nachos; and beverages.

Please take a nonperishable item or toy to the auction for Social Concerns.

Bus trip to New York

YOUNGSTOWN — Ursuline High School Home and School has planned an annual Anderson bus tour to New York City. Departure will be from the Wick parking lot at 11 p.m. Dec. 5 and arrive in the city at 7 a.m. Dec. 6. Tourists will have a full day to shop. The return trip will begin at 11 p.m. Dec. 6 and the bus will arrive at the Wick lot at 7 a.m. Dec. 7.

The cost is $80 per person with seats available on a first come basis. Paid reservations are required and can be made by calling (330) 759-9531.
