First National Bank has named David Yates to the new position of senior vice president, corporate strategies coordinator. Yates will oversee a number of high-level strategic initiatives identified by First National Bank’s executive management committee. He had been deputy chief credit officer for National City in western Pennsylvania. He earned a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Cincinnati and a master’s degree from Ohio State University.

Bury Financial Group of Poland recently hired Lisa Semenovich of Boardman as executive assistant, where she will be servicing the day-to-day needs of their clients. She had been a sixth-grade teacher for a local school district. She is a graduate of Youngstown State University.

Crissi Jenkins has been named director of campaign at the United Way of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley. She will develop the campaign strategy, work on fund-raising events and coordinate the overall fund-raising efforts along with United Way President Bob Hannon. She had been the director of development and marketing at the Youngstown Hearing and Speech Agency. She earned a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications from Ohio University.

Jennifer Cidila of Hermitage has been named a partner at Carbis Walker, an accounting firm. She has been a member of the firm’s health care audit and consulting team for the past seven years. She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and business administration from Thiel College. She is a certified public accountant.
Joseph Marks II of New Wilmington, Pa., has been promoted to principal at Schrodel, Scullin & Bestic, a Canfield accounting firm. He has been an accounting team manager. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Slippery Rock University. He is a certified public accountant.
