Here’s a listing of Thanksgiving services in the area. Services are listed by date, starting with this weekend.

Austintown Ministerial Association: Greater Austintown Ministerial Association will have a community Thanksgiving service at 7 p.m. Sunday in the cafetorium at Austintown Middle School, 800 S. Raccoon Road. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Guy BonGiovanni, president of Life Enrichment Ministries, based in Canfield. The service will feature American Indians Priscilla and Kendall Pipe, who will lead singing and prayers in the Dakota language. The worship music will offer a blend of traditional hymns and contemporary songs. Austintown Cub Scout, Boy Scout and Girl Scout troops will present a unified color guard and serve as ushers for the event. “Unsung heroes” from Austintown and vicinity will be recognized.

Central Christian Church, 44 S. Main St., Hubbard: The Hubbard Christians in Action will have a community Thanksgiving service at 7 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. David Garlich, pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, will deliver a message. Hubbard High School choir will sing.

Crestview High School: A choir representing churches and residents in the Crestview School District will minister in music at a community Thanksgiving service scheduled at 7 p.m. Sunday at Crestview High School, 44100 Crestview Road, Columbiana. The choir, directed by Pastor Mark Plegge of Abundant Life, will sing during the service. Members and friends of Abundant Life, East Fairfield United Methodist, Middleton Friends Meeting, New Waterford Presbyterian, New Waterford United Methodist Church and Zion Lutheran Church and community residents may participate. The six churches are part of an outreach group known as the 4C’s, which is Crestview Churches Community Concerns, which will have a part in the service. Jeff Schoch, senior pastor at Abundant Life, will be the speaker. A community worship team also is being assembled. Refreshments will be served after the service.

Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4680 Canfield Road, Canfield: An ecumenical Thanksgiving prayer service is planned at 7 p.m. Sunday for the Canfield community. Area churches and choirs will participate. There will be an offering for Operation Blessing and donations of canned goods will be accepted. A reception will follow the service.

Grace Church of the Nazarene, 5253 W. Webb Road, Mineral Ridge: A community Thanksgiving service will be at 7 p.m. Tuesday with Jason Garris, associate pastor of Mineral Ridge Church of Christ, as speaker. An offering will be taken for Mineral Ridge Community Parish Association and fellowship will follow the service.

Trinity Lutheran Church, 78 E. Liberty St., Girard: The Girard ecumenical service will be at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Fellowship will follow.

Archangel Michael Greek Orthodox Church, 401 12 St., Campbell: Vesperal liturgy at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Covenant Presbyterian Church, 2050 Oakdale St., N.W., Warren: A Thanksgiving eve service is planned at 7 p.m. Wednesday with Grace United Methodist Church, Calvary Presbyterian Church and St. Pius X Catholic Church. Adult and children’s choirs will sing. Refreshments will follow the service. Canned goods for the Warren Family Mission or monetary donations for the Coopers of Wycliffe Bible Translators of Thailand will be accepted.

Elizabeth Missionary Baptsit Church, 1210 Himrod Ave., Youngstown: Elizaberh, New Birth-Kimmelbrook and Holy Trinity Baptist Church’s will have a combined Thanksgiving eve service at 6 p.m. Wednesday.

Emmanuel United Methodist Church, West Martin Street, East Palestine: A community Thanksgiving service is planned at 7 p.m. Wednesday with Pastor Dave Martin of Centenary United Methodist Church as speaker.

Otterbein United Methodist Church, 1128 State Road West, Champion: A community Thanksgiving service for the churches and community of Champion is planned at 7 p.m. Wednesday. Guest speaker will be the Rev. Michael Balash, pastor of St. William Church, Champion. Fellowship will follow the service.

Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, 67 McClure St., Struthers: The annual Thanksgiving service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Lee T. Rucker Jr., host pastor.

Unity Church Centre, 1226 Naylor Lloyd Road, Girard: The annual Thanksgiving service will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday with minister Ric Schumacher, the music team and American Indian drummers.

Martin Luther Lutheran Church, 420 Clearmount Drive, Youngstown: A Thanksgiving Day service is planned at 10 a.m. Thursday.

Nativity of Christ Russian Orthodox Church, 727 Miller St., Youngstown: Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. Thanksgiving Day.

St. Brendan Church, 2800 Oakwood Ave., Youngstown: The church is collecting nonperishable items in the baskets near the church entrances. Efforts culminate with Mass at 8:30 a.m. Thanksgiving Day.

St. John’s Episcopal Church, Wick Ave., Youngstown: A community Thanksgiving Day service is planned at 10 a.m. Thursday with the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper. The Rev. Nick Mager of First Presbyterian Church will give the homily and the Rev. Jeremiah Williamson of St. John’s will participate.
