Youngstown State University’s Black Faculty and Staff Association had a forum to discuss the political, social and cultural impact of President-elect Barack Obama’s candidacy. Here is a list of the panelists:

Madonna Chism Pinkard, director of community relations for WFMJ/WBCB Television and host of the weekly television show “WFMJ Community Connection.”

Mayor Jay Williams, 47th mayor of the city of Youngstown and first black person to have that position.

Dr. Cryshanna Jackson, political science professor and urban internship coordinator for the YSU political science department.

Dr. Victor Wan-Tatah, director of the Africana Studies Program and professor of philosophy and religious studies.

Paul Gordiejew, associate professor of anthropology and published author.

Shareef Ali, national board of directors for the 100 Black Men of America Inc. and president of the 100 Black Men of Greater Youngstown/Warren Ohio Chapter.

State Rep. Bob Hagan of Youngstown, D-60th.
