Alleged ex-Nazi camp guard appeals deportation order

PITTSBURGH (AP) — A retired western Pennsylvania steelworker who guarded a Nazi concentration camp wants the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn lower court rulings to deport him and strip him of citizenship.

The 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals refused to rehear Anton Geiser’s case in August after refusing in June to overturn a district court decision.

The 83-year-old retiree still lives in Sharon, about 60 miles northwest of Pittsburgh.

The U.S. Supreme Court first must decide if it will even hear his appeal.

Geiser denies harming any prisoners and his attorney says immigration laws are ambiguous about whether Nazi guards are barred from settling in the United States.
