History

Named for: Judge William Rayen

Notable fact: First public school in the Mahoning Valley.

Opened: 1866 at Wick Avenue and Wood Street

Moved: 1922, new school built on Benita Avenue.

Closed: At the end of the 2006-07 school year with most students going to the new East High School in 2007-08.
