GIRARD

Nov. 18

Menacing: An East Second Street woman told police her teenage daughter threatened to kill her during an argument.

Burglary: A woman in the 700 block of East Liberty Street discovered a side door had been pried open. Stolen were several pieces of jewelry, a laptop computer and an MP3 player.

HUBBARD

Nov. 15

Arrest: Girard Municipal Court issued a warrant against a township resident, no information given, who was wanted on a charge of failing to appear in court to face charges of disorderly conduct, endangering children and violation of a probation hearing.

Theft: A man who owns rental property in the 200 block of Jackson Street reported a tenant was stealing power from another renter.

Nov. 16

Possible breaking and entering: A Doris Drive woman discovered a nearby vacant home had its back door open and a basement window broken.

Fraud: An East Liberty Street resident reported receiving a call from someone claiming to be from a gas company who threatened to shut off the utility if payment wasn’t made, but would come to the home to pick up any payment.

Theft: Gasoline was stolen from a Dorchester Drive man’s vehicle.

Aggravated menacing: A Roosevelt Drive man told officers a 52-year-old Youngstown man threatened over the phone to blow up the accuser’s residence.

Identity fraud: An Aurora Drive woman reported her husband got a call from someone regarding an injury claim the victim supposedly filed via the Internet. Neither the woman nor her husband ever filed such a claim, she told police.

Theft by deception: A Niles man said he went to a Crew Hood Drive residence to buy a metal storage building for an agreed-upon cost of $3,500 before making a $500 deposit. While trying to make the final payment, however, the accuser learned the person never owned the property in the first place, he reported.

Assault: An elderly Academy Drive woman reported a 32-year-old Youngstown woman grabbed the accuser’s wrist during an argument about money. The homeowner had bruising and discoloration.

Nov. 16

Theft: A Youngstown woman, 47, was charged, accused in the theft of two steaks, a turkey breast and a toy from Save-a-Lot, 3551 Belmont Ave.

Arrests: Authorities responded to a fight at a Tuttle Drive home and charged a Girard man, 39, with obstructing official business and resisting arrest after saying he slammed a door, striking an officer, before struggling with police. Also, a 36-year-old Girard woman was charged with disorderly conduct when, police said, she yelled profanities and failed to desist.

Nov. 17

Arrest: A vehicle was pulled over in the 2500 block of Cardinal Drive, where a Youngstown man, 33, was taken into custody on charges of resisting arrest, escape, failure to comply with police and having no operator’s license. Authorities had to use a Taser when the man again tried to flee from officers after he had led them on a foot pursuit, the report said.

Attempted theft: A man tried to remove four hand-held electronic games from Rite Aid Pharmacy, 2704 Belmont Ave.

Nov. 18

Theft: Four people stole a truck after saying they needed a tire on their vehicle changed at Goodyear Auto Service Center, 3651 Belmont Ave.

Theft: A woman in a red Jeep left a Shell True North station, 3990 Belmont Ave., without paying for $29.42 worth of gasoline.

Assault: A Logangate Road woman alleged her former boyfriend struck her in the back of the head.
