Mold removal project begins Wednesday at Canfield Township Hall
CANFIELD— The process of removing mold from Township Hall, a building that is more than 100 years old, begins Wednesday.
Township trustees voted at their board meeting tonight to approve up to $6,000 for Erman Algaier, owner of the local business The Mold Man, to remove mold that’s been growing in the North Broad Street building for a century.
“His bid was almost $4,000 less than the next guy up,” township Fiscal Officer Carmen Heasley said.
Trustee William Reese said Algaier and his crew will go through an extensive process to sterilize every surface in the building, including ceiling panels, heating and cooling systems and air ducts.
