Midlothian BP station held up by gunman
YOUNGSTOWN — A man with a gun held up a cashier at the BP gas station, 2069 E. Midlothian Boulevard, and made his getaway Monday evening in a gold minivan that had been parked nearby, police said. The man first asked for a pack of cigarettes and then showed the handle of a gun — saying, “Give me the money” to the clerk, reports show. The clerk took an undisclosed amount of cash from the register and gave it to him, along with four packs of cigarettes. Police followed fresh footprints in the snow to a business parking lot and learned from employees the gold minivan that had been parked there drove off westbound. Detectives were expected to review the gas station’s surveillance video.
