Girard native is Trooper of Year at Ravenna post


RAVENNA — Ohio State Highway Patrol Trooper John L. Lamm has been selected 2008 Trooper of the Year at the Ravenna Post.

The selection of Trooper Lamm, 34, is in recognition of outstanding service during 2008 at the Ravenna Post. Fellow officers stationed at Ravenna, chose Trooper Lamm based on leadership abilities, professional ethics, courteous treatment of others, enthusiastic work attitude, and cooperation with supervisors, peers, and the public.

Lamm joined the Highway Patrol in 2005 and has served at the Ravenna Post. He is originally from Girard and a 1992 graduate of Girard High School. Trooper Lamm received the Division’s ACE Award in 2008 and The MADD Award in 2006 and 2007.

Trooper Lamm and his wife, Kimberlee, live in Niles with their daughter, Lacie.
