• POLAND — After honeymooning on a Caribbean cruise, Matthew Rudawsky and his bride, the former Catharine Rudnicki, reside at 3329 Southgate Drive, Alexandria, Va.

The couple were married in a 1 p.m. ceremony May 24 at Holy Family Church, and received congratulations at Antone’s Banquet Center in Boardman.

The bride wore a 19th-century-style ball gown created by Lauren Balestrino, a bridesmaid.

Her honor attendant, Anne Marie Colucci of Poland, and bridesmaids Julia Archer of Chandler, Ariz; Balestrino, of Poland; and Jennifer Bucci of Poland, all wore indigo-colored gowns.

The groom chose John Waugh of Wynona as his best man, and groomsmen were Thomas J. Rudnicki of Poland, brother of the bride, and Jason Rudawsky of Kent and Tyler Rudawsky of Poland, brothers of the groom.

The bride, daughter of Susan and Thomas Rudnicki, 1835 Johnston Place, graduated from Youngstown State University with a master’s degree in history.

The groom, a son of David and Patti Rudawsky, 6939 North Lima Road, graduated from Kent State University with a degree in graphic design. He works as a graphic specialist for Michael Baker Jr. in Alexandria.
