Slippery Rock women fall to LeMoyne

KUTZTOWN, Pa. — Julie Molloy finished with 17 points and five assists Sunday, but Slippery Rock fell to LeMoyne, 85-72, in the second day of the Golden Bear Classic, hosted by Kutztown University.

Amanda Nero (Lowellville) added 12 points for The Rock (0-2), as did Sasha Sales. Jess Schake added 11 points.

A 15-4 run spanning halftime by LeMoyne broke a 24-all tie and Slippery Rock never got closer than nine points the rest of the game.

The Rock shot 56 percent (25-of-45) from the field but committed 23 turnovers and was outrebounded, 32-26.
