NORMAN, Okla. — All-America center Courtney Paris scored 16 points to move into second place on Oklahoma’s career scoring list. Nyeshia Stevenson added 14 points and four steals off the bench, and Amanda Thompson and Danielle Robinson scored 13 apiece as the Sooners (1-0) had six players reach double figures. Kemie Nkele scored a career-high 31 points to lead the Highlanders (0-1).

No. 7 Tennessee 68, San Francisco 39

KNOXVILLE, Tenn. — Freshman Glory Johnson had 17 points and 12 rebounds to lead Tennessee. With Angie Bjorklund sitting out because of back problems and Vicki Baugh still recovering from knee surgery, Tennessee started two freshmen. By the second timeout, the Lady Vols had five true freshmen on the floor.

No. 25 Old Dominion 93, St. Mary’s 63

AUSTIN, Texas — Tiffany Green scored 19 points and Old Dominion beat St. Mary’s in the first round of the World Vision Classic. Mairi Buchan scored 15 and Jessica Canady had 13 points and 10 rebounds for Old Dominion (1-0). Jazzmin Walters finished with 14 points and six assists. Louella Tomlinson had 17 points and blocked six shots for St. Mary’s (0-1).

No. 13 Texas 66, Dayton 40

AUSTIN, Texas — Erika Arriaran and Earnesia Williams each scored 10 points for Texas Longhorns in the first round of the World Vision Classic. Dayton was led by Kristin Daugherty, who finished with 15 points.

No. 10 Louisville 82, Tennessee Tech 49

COOKEVILLE, Tenn. — Angel McCoughtry scored a game-high 29 points to become Louisville’s career scoring leader. McCoughtry also recorded her 41st double-double, grabbing a team-high 13 rebounds. Candyce Bingham (13) and Laura Terry (11) scored in double figures for the Cardinals (1-0).
