Summer wedding for Amanda Burns and Brian Jones

• Announced by Michael and Peggy Miller of Vienna and Ron and Debra Burns of Champion is the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Burns, and Brian Jones, both of 38225 Cheltenham Drive, Willoughby.

Parents of the future groom are Robert and Martha Altier, 2245 N. Hubbard Road, Hubbard, and Tom and Christine Jones of North Carolina.

Miss Burns, a teacher at Monarch School for Autism in Shaker Heights, graduated from Kent State University with a bachelors’ degree in speech and language pathology and is pursuing a master’s degree in special education at Cleveland State University.

Mr. Jones earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering at Youngstown State University. He is a controls engineer with Avery Dennison in Mentor.

Invitations will be issued for the couple’s 2:30 p.m. wedding on July 18, 2009, at Trinity United Methodist Church in Youngstown and for their evening reception at McMenamy’s in Niles.
