Fundraiser to benefit toddler with cancer

STAFF REPORT

LISBON — A fund-raising spaghetti dinner is set for Tuesday for the benefit of 11-month-old Luke Hull, who is battling retinoblastoma, a form of cancer that affects the retina of the eye.

Luke attends the Cherished Children’s Early Childhood Development Center here. The staff and families of Cherished Children will sponsor the event from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at 239 West Lincoln Way, the former American Legion Hall.

Various items will be raffled, and games and crafts will be provided for children.

Luke, the son of Lance and Nicole Hull of Hanoverton, is undergoing chemotherapy at the Cleveland Clinic. Luke’s family and physicians are hopeful that he will make a speedy recovery.

Dinner will include spaghetti, meatballs, salad, bread, beverage and dessert. The cost is $3 for adults and $1.50 for children.

Advanced tickets are available, and tickets also will be sold at the door. Donations are being accepted.

All proceeds will be used to help offset the cost of Luke’s medical care. For more information, call (330) 420-9288.
