SENIOR CITIZENS


AARP 4545

• Boardman South Chapter 4545, AARP, will meet at 11:30 a.m. Dec. 4 at the Holiday Inn South in Boardman. Elmer Haidle will preside. COITSVILLE

• Coitsville Seniors will meet at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Town Hall. Members are asked to take a covered dish and table service for the luncheon. Final plans will be discussed for the Christmas party. Cards and bingo will be played, and a 50-50 drawing will take place.

CROATIAN PENSIONERS

• Election of officers for 2009-2010 will be on the agenda when Croatian Pensioners of the Mahoning Valley meet at noon Thursday at the Lodge 66 Croatian Home on Vestal Road. Jonathon Kinser will give a talk on “Clarence Darrow.”

Reservations for the Dec. 11 Christmas dinner will be accepted by Veronica Fabanish. • High Point Church, 5716 Struthers Road, Lowellville, will have its monthly Crowns of Silver luncheon meeting from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday. Guest speaker will be Pastor Liz Morales. Lunch will be served at noon.

• The Keenagers of Third Baptist Church will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church. There will be a discussion about the Christmas party.

LIBERTY 55 PLUS

• Liberty 55 Plus Seniors will have an annual Thanksgiving luncheon Thursday at the Gentry, Liberty Street, Hubbard. Members will meet at 12:30 p.m., with lunch to be served at 1. There will be a 50-50 raffle and cards will be played. Hostesses are Dorothy Findlay and Vi Castor. The calling committee will contact members for reservations.

LIBERTY FRIENDS

• The Liberty Friends will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Presbyterian church on Route 304. Take a sack lunch; coffee and tea will be provided. All are welcome for cards and games.

• Packard Electric and Delphi Packard, Local 717 Retirees, will meet at 10:30 p.m. Wednesday at the union hall in Warren Commerce Park, 2950 Sferra Ave. Attendees are asked to take a labeled covered dish and table service. Entertainment will be by Warren Police Officer Brian Crites, a bagpiper.

• Retirees of Local 1199 will meet at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the union hall on Belmont Ave. All members are asked to attend.

MARTHA LUPSE

• Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played when Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club meets from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Doug Martin will give the devotions. A pizza party will begin at noon; coffee and tea will be provided. No affiliation with the church is required for participation. • Public Employee Retirees Inc., Mahoning Chapter 18, will meet at noon Dec. 2 at the Italian-American Veterans Centre on Meridian Road for a Christmas luncheon.

The buffet menu will include baked turkey breast, stuffing, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, gravy, broccoli mix, salad, rolls and butter, cherry pie, and coffee or tea. A musical program will be provided by Rachelle Joy.

There will also be a money raffle, which includes the poinsettias. Reservations are required by Friday. Note: No reservations will be accepted after that date. • Election of officers will take place when Oliver Montgomery Chapter 27-16, S.O.A.R., meets at 1 p.m. Wednesday at McGuffey Centre, 1649 Jacobs Road, Youngstown. New members are welcome. This month’s meeting is a week early because of Thanksgiving.

ST. STANISLAUS

• St. Stanislaus Senior Citizens will meet at noon Monday in the church hall. Lunch will be served, by previously paid reservations. Fun and games will follow.
