CLASSES
• Fairfield Waterford Class of 1959 will meet for dinner at 6 p.m. Monday at Heck’s restaurant.
CLUBS
• That Quilt Group I Belong To will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Fair Park Community Building in Canfield. The monthly program will be a quilt challenge. Guests are welcome.
• Robert Coggeshall will speak on “Backpacking in New Hampshire or Life Above the Clouds” before the Youngstown Torch Club on Monday in Bresnahan Suites 1 & 2 in Kilcawley Center at Youngstown State University.
Coggeshall, a retired banker and now a naturalist working in Mill Creek Park, has been hiking since he was 3 and returns to New Hampshire every year to hike along sections of the Appalachian Trail.
His presentation, which will cover the history of the trail and its extreme weather conditions, will be highlighted with photos he has taken.
The dinner-meeting begins with a social hour at 5:30. Dinner is at 6 and the presentation is at 7 p.m. To make reservations or for more information, call the club, (330) 792-7351.

• The Croatian Fraternal Lodge No. 598 will meet at 12:45 p.m. Sunday in the senior citizens room at the post office building.

• Holborn Herb Growers Guild will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday at Canfield Colonial Inn for a program on “The Wonderful World of Birds” by Patrice Harvey of Wild Birds Unlimited. Hostesses will be Terry Ham, Carri Bookwalter, Diane Playforth, Johanne Edel, and Joe Greasel.

• Girard-Liberty Kiwanis will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at The Golf Dome, 1300 N. State St., Girard.

• DARE, for divorced, widowed or separated people, has planned the following activities: Monday, walking in Southern Park Mall, meet at 6 p.m. at the food court; Tuesday, dance lessons with Judy Conti, 7 p.m. at Wedgewood Plaza, cost $5; Wednesday, walking in Southern Park Mall, food court at 6 p.m.; and Thursday, meet at Disciples Christian Church, 565 Boardman-Canfield Road, Boardman at 7:30 p.m. for a group discussion.
• The Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church Education Committee has announced a Simply Singles meeting at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the church hall, 618 Ohio Ave. Refreshments will be served and entertainment will be provided. Please take a nonperishable food item for the group’s St. Vincent de Paul Food Drive.
