Auto owners report gunfire damage

WARREN — One person in a car and another person in a house reported that shots were fired on Kenilworth Avenue Southeast at about 6:22 p.m. Wednesday, hitting their cars.

The person in the car said he saw a pickup truck and a van being chased by a car as the vehicles were headed south on Kenilworth between Youngstown Road and state Route 169.

Someone in the car fired six to eight times at the van and truck, the witness said.

After the vehicles passed, the witness saw a bullet hole in his driver’s side door. The car and truck headed north on Route 169 and the van headed south, he said.

A resident of Kenilworth reported that a vehicle in his front yard had also been hit by gunfire.

No other reports of damage from the incident were reported by police.
