Fire at South Side corner store

YOUNGSTOWN — Firefighters are trying to determine what set a small corner store at the intersection of Chicago and Market Streets ablaze late Thursday evening. Smoke was seen pouring from the roof of the one-story structure and flames could be seen coming out of a side door at 9 p.m. Several fire department units responded to the fire and spent more than 1 1/2 hours on the scene. The store was closed and empty at the time of the fire. Firefighters had to cut away a steel door to gain access to the building.
