HUBBARD

Nov. 8

Theft: A North Main Street man reported the theft of a part to his lawn mower.

Bad check: Officers arrested a woman, no information given, after a worker with Hubbard Gas & Mini Mart, 175 Youngstown-Hubbard Road, accused her of passing a bad check.

Nov. 9

Domestic violence: A Hubbard woman was charged after an Elmwood Drive man reported a fight between his estranged wife and daughter.

Nov. 11

Weapon: An official with Reed Middle School, 150 Hall Ave., told police a pupil had an air gun in a backpack.

Assault: An employee of Hubbard High School, 350 Hall Ave., reported a fight in the facility.

GIRARD

Nov. 10

Drugs: Police responded to a suspicious vehicle in the 500 block of Stull Avenue, where they arrested a Vienna man, 33, after saying they found two syringes, one of which had suspected heroin, and a metal spoon. The man was charged with possession of heroin, a third-degree felony, and faced misdemeanor charges of possession of drug-abuse instruments and criminal trespassing.

Criminal damaging: A woman found a broken window at her East Prospect Street residence. Damage came to $300.

Criminal damaging: A man told police someone drove by his Idaho Avenue residence and fired two or three rounds from a pellet gun, striking a window.

Theft: A woman reported numerous medications missing from her North Avenue home.

Nov. 11

Theft: A Shawnee Drive woman found out someone used her Visa card at a Youngstown store and charged more than $1,000 to the woman’s account without authorization.

Nov. 12

Aggravated menacing: An employee with the Girard Municipal Court, 100 N. Market St., told authorities a Warren woman, 26, left four threatening phone messages, including one threatening to kill an accuser.

Theft: A Powers Avenue man reported tools among the items stolen from his residence.

LIBERTY

Nov. 7

Drugs: A pharmacist at Rite Aid Pharmacy, 2704 Belmont Ave., told officers a man called to get a prescription for 90 Vicodin tablets filled for someone else, and after checking with a doctor who said he had no patient by that name.

Theft: A Cortland woman’s purse was stolen while she patronized a Belmont Avenue store.

Menacing: A Pleasant Valley Road man accused his brother-in-law of making several calls threatening harm regarding copies of the will of a deceased family member.

Criminal damaging: A Keefer Road woman discovered damage to her lawn, as well as a paintball that had been fired at her residence.

Theft: A Logan Gate Road woman reported $285 worth of rent money stolen from an office.

Theft: A Youngstown woman’s purse was stolen at a Belmont Avenue fast-food restaurant.

Theft: A purse was stolen from a worker at a Belmont Avenue business.

Nov. 8

Burglary: A man returned to his Youngstown-Hubbard Road home to discover damage to a basement door and door jamb. Nothing seemed to be missing, though.

Theft: A Darlington Avenue man reported two laptop computers and a Sony PlayStation 2 game console missing from his home.

Nov. 9

Robbery: Authorities spoke to an injured 17-year-old Youngstown boy at Forum Health Northside Medical Center, who said he had been jumped while at a Belmont Avenue restaurant. Stolen were a pair of boots and $15.

Theft: A $4,000 generator was removed from a pickup truck in the 1600 block of Motor Inn Drive.

Menacing: Two workers for a Belmont Avenue eatery told police a former employee, a 38-year-old Niles man, came in and threatened to harm them, despite having been told he was no longer permitted there.

Nov. 10

Theft: A 52-year-old Youngstown man was charged after being accused of trying to use someone else’s state-issued card at Giant Eagle, 4700 Belmont Ave.

Identity fraud: An elderly Scott Street woman reported receiving an $86 bill from an account she never opened.

Nov. 11

Forgery: A worker with Groover Roofing & Siding, 1101 E. Liberty St., accused a Canton man, 37, of accessing a $70,000 line of credit without the accuser’s knowledge or consent.

Burglary: Someone broke a rear window to a home in the 4000 block of Jefferson Court, though the homeowner said that nothing appeared to be missing.

Theft: A Youngstown woman’s cell phone was removed from her vehicle in the 4700 block of Belmont Avenue.

Auto theft: A Colonial Drive woman’s 1993 Chevrolet Caprice was stolen from her home.
