Struthers residents get help, new trash law

STRUTHERS — City Council unanimously passed an ordinance requiring owners of residential and rental units to subscribe for trash pickup by a contractor designated by the city.

The tax commissioner reported that ncome tax receipts are up 4 percent over last year, and 1st Ward Councilwoman Sherri Hartzell said residents who are unable to rake their leaves because of health problems should call her at (330) 750-1618. She’ll be working with volunteer high school students this Saturday to help.
