Fraud-probe training set

COLUMBUS (AP) — State Auditor Mary Taylor is creating a program to provide local law enforcement officers with free training on how to investigate white-collar crime.

The two-day course will help police investigate fraud in organizations outside of government. Taylor, a Republican, announced the program Monday.

Funded by a state grant, the course is for both novice and experienced police detectives who investigate fraud or theft.

The course gives law enforcement the opportunity to solve a case in which they are presented with the fraudulent financial records of a simulated nonprofit organization.
