Church will have Alzheimer’s event

YOUNGSTOWN — Holy Trinity Romanian Orthodox Church, 626 Wick Ave., will host a commemorative candle lighting, a nationwide event sponsored by the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America, from noon to 7 p.m. Thursday to remember and honor Americans who have been or will be affected by Alzheimer’s disease or related illnesses.

The church will hold two religious services at noon and 6 p.m. in conjunction with the observance. There will be a Romanian lunch from noon to 2 p.m. and there is a fee. Donations also will be accepted for the Alzheimer’s Foundation.
