YSU honors vets who died during active duty
THREE GENERALS - and the Chief - Dr David Sweet and Army Generals Don Infante bob Lynn and Matt Kambic (all YSU alumni) were a part of the Veterans Day ceremony at YSU.
YOUNGSTOWN — The names of 64 Youngstown State University students, faculty and staff who died on active military duty were read aloud during a ceremony this morning on Veterans Plaza on the YSU campus.
The recognition was part of a Veterans Day memorial service on the plaza that also saw the unveiling of new plaques listing the names of those veterans, most of whom died in World War II.
Three Army generals, including the current commander of the Ohio National Guard, attended the ceremony. All three are graduates of YSU.
