Roofers program to accept applications in December

VIENNA — The Roofers Joint Apprenticeship Program will accept applications for a class of roofers.

Applications will be available at the Builders Association of Eastern Ohio and Western Pennsylvania, 1372 Youngstown-Kingsville Road, from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1:30 to 3 p.m. Dec. 1-5. The office can be reached at (330) 539-6050.

New foot-care center opens in East Liverpool

EAST LIVERPOOL — A group of local physicians has opened Tri-State Wound Care & Diabetic Foot Center, 332 W. Sixth St. It specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of chronic wounds, including those from diabetic foot ulcers.

The physicians staffing the center are Dr. Mark Smesko, Dr. Vardhan Reddy and Dr. Eugene Vivitsky. Dr. Smesko is a podiatric physician and partner with Ankle & Foot Care Centers, which has 20 offices in eastern Ohio and western Pennsylvania. The other two doctors are thoracic and vascular surgeons and practice with Reddy Cardiovascular Associates in Steubenville.
