Janet Jackson won’t reschedule shows

LOS ANGELES — Janet Jackson won’t be rockin’ any rescheduled tour dates.

The 42-year-old singer is not choreographing any makeup dates for the seven “Rock Witchu” tour performances that were initially postponed because of her illness “due to conflicts in the singer’s schedule,” said a statement released by tour organizer Live Nation on Tuesday.

The canceled stops, originally scheduled Sept. 29 to Oct. 13, include: Montreal; Boston; Philadelphia; Greensboro, N.C.; Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; Uncasville, Conn.; and Syracuse, N.Y.

Jackson’s publicist previously said she had been suffering from migraine-associated vertigo, which led to her canceling the string of shows.

She was being treated for the illness, which is characterized by dizziness, imbalance and other symptoms.

Jane Fonda returns to Broadway in ’09

NEW YORK — Jane Fonda, activist, author and exercise guru, will be back on Broadway in 2009 after an absence of more than four decades.

The Academy Award-winning actress will star in “33 Variations,” a play by Moises Kaufman about a present-day musicologist (played by Fonda) and her study of Beethoven’s fascination with a particular piece of music. Kaufman will also direct.

The production will open this winter at a theater and date to be determined.

Fonda won her Oscars for “Klute” and “Coming Home.” She has also appeared in such films as “On Golden Pond,” “Nine to Five,” “Julia,” “Fun With Dick and Jane,” “Barbarella,” “Barefoot in the Park,” “Cat Ballou” and “They Shoot Horses, Don’t They?”

‘Girls Next Door’ gal gets engaged to NFL player

LOS ANGELES — One of Hugh Hefner’s live-in girlfriends is trading the grotto for the gridiron.

The Playboy mogul said in a statement Thursday that “The Girls Next Door” co-star Kendra Wilkinson is engaged to Philadelphia Eagles receiver Hank Baskett.

The 23-year-old model-actress has lived with Hefner since 2004 and currently co-stars as one of his three girlfriends in the E! reality series.

“I have given her my blessing and will be giving her away at a very special wedding ceremony at the Playboy Mansion this coming June,” Hefner said.

The 82-year-old publisher’s love life has been in flux. Last month, he and “No. 1” girlfriend Holly Madison called it quits. Twin 19-year-olds Karissa and Kristina Shannon are living with Hefner.
