GIRARD

• Girard Senior Citizens will meet at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Senior Center, 16 N. State St., Girard. Officers for the coming year and the 2008 Citizen of the Year will be elected.

GOLDEN PILLARS

• An 11 a.m. liturgy will precede Tuesday’s monthly meeting of the Golden Pillars at noon at St. Mary’s Assumption Social Center, 356 S. Belle Vista Ave., Youngstown. Eleanor Hnat will preside. Birthdays and anniversaries will be observed, and cards and bingo will be played. Members are asked to take their own place settings for a luncheon.

HOLY FAMILY

• Holy Family Seniors will meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at Merici Hall in the rectory basement. There will be cards, bingo and a 50-50 raffle. Sandwiches and snacks will be served.

IMMACULATE HEART

• A monthly meeting and luncheon are planned by Immaculate Heart of Mary Senior Citizens for noon Nov. 20 at the parish center. • Retirees of J.C. Penney will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at Denny’s in Boardman.

• Poland K.C.ettes will meet at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday at the hall for a memorial Mass by the Rev. Richard Whetstone for the deceased members. Hostesses will be Pauline Viavarella, Mary Ciarniello and Bernadette Becker.

MARTHA LUPSE

• Bridge, 500, chess and checkers will be played when Martha Lupse 50-Plus Card and Game Club meets from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Thursday in Room 106 at Poland United Methodist Church. Elisabeth Healey will give the devotions. Members are reminded to take a sack lunch; coffee and tea will be provided. No affiliation with the church is required for participation. POLICE AND FIRE

• The Police and Fire Retirees of Ohio District 2, Mahoning and Columbiana counties, will meet at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Brandywine Clubhouse, 3390 Flo-Lor Drive. The guest speaker will be a representative from the Rescue Mission of the Mahoning Valley. Members are asked to take nonperishable food or canned goods for the Rescue Mission.
