Serving in Afghanistan

Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Robert A . Rudolph is serving a one-year deployment to Kandahar, Afghanistan. A 1999 Chaney High School graduate, Rudolph was previously deployed to Iraq in 2005 and 2006. He and his wife, Amanda Coss Rudolph, have two daughters, Jewelyann K. and Jemma M., and a son, Gabriel. The permanent duty station is Kanoehe Bay, Hawaii. Rudolph is the son of Don and Sally Rudolph of Youngstown.

Eligibility, benefits

AUSTINTOWN — Representatives of the Sandusky, Ohio, Veterans Home will discuss eligibility and benefits at the United Veterans Council meeting at 7 p.m. Nov. 17 at American Legion Post 301, 3652 Oakwood Ave. The event is open to veterans and the public. Families of wartime veterans are encouraged to consider this valuable but overlooked resource, said Barry Landgraver, executive director of the Mahoning County Veterans Service Commission. Senior Airman rank

Air Force Senior Airman Jean N. Campbell was promoted to her present rank while serving as an aerospace medical technician with the 436th Airlift Wing, Dover Air Force Base, Del. She is the daughter of Cindy McDevitt of New Waterford and granddaughter of Kate Campbell of New Castle, Pa.
