Hear the pilots Hermitage, Pa., native Jane Gardner Birch featured in her book, “They Flew Proud” (Evangel Press), describe their experiences in learning to fly with the National Civilian Pilot Training Program at Grove City, Pa., Airport during World War II in their own words in new video interviews on the author’s Web site. Book signing planned

NILES — Joyce Bishop Morris of Painesville will sign copies of her books, “Sweet Annie” and “Forever Annie” (AuthorHouse), from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday at Borders Books, behind the Eastwood Mall, 2102 Niles-Cortland Road S.E. The books are part of a trilogy follows the adventures of Annie Cowan from her youth in Cowan, Tenn., after the fall of the South through her life in Millsap, Texas, during the expansion of the Old West and afterward. Bishop, who grew up in Millsap, is completing work on the third and final title, “Annie’s Legacy.”
