BOARDMAN — Boardman Poland Junior Women’s League will present “A Countdown to Christmas,” an evening of dining and dancing from 6 to 11 p.m. Nov. 21 at Mr. Anthony’s, 7440 South Avenue.

Tickets are $50 and must be purchased by Nov. 16. The admission fee includes dinner, dancing to the music of “The Classics,” a Chinese auction, a 50-50 raffle and a reverse raffle with a chance to win $2,500.

Proceeds from the event will benefit Youngstown Hearing and Speech Center, which has served children and adults of the community for more than 80 years. It also houses the Community Center for the Deaf, which provides speech, audiology and services to deaf and hearing-impaired people in 11 counties, regardless of their ability to pay. Last year the center provided more than $650,000 in unreimbursable services to individuals struggling with communication challenges.

BPJWL is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving the needs of the community, local families and charitable organizations. During the past 28 years, the league has donated more than $580,000 to these causes.
