Anniversary Mass and dinner mark Buchenic 50th

• POLAND — As a prelude to their 50th wedding anniversary, Mr. and Mrs. Michael Buchenic of Poland renewed their nuptial vows during a Mass celebrated by Bishop George Murry in June at St. Columba Cathedral.

On Nov. 8 they continued to celebrate by attending Mass at Holy Trinity Church in Struthers, where they were united in marriage on Nov. 8, 1958, and where they are members. Afterward a dinner party took place at Johnny’s in Boardman.

Invitations for the occasion were extended by their children, Mike and Cindy Buchenic of New Middletown, Mark and Carla Buchenic of Canfield, and Lori and Dan Fishel of Poland, and Mrs. Buchenic’s sister, Anna Ringos.

Rounding out the family are seven grandchildren, Michael, Morgan, Marissa, Tyler, Kaylee and Alex Buchenic and Danielle Fishel.

Mrs. Buchenic, the former Catherine (Kay) Ringos was employed in billing at St. Elizabeth Health Center prior to retiring.

Mr. Buchenic served with the U.S. Air Force and retired as an insurance agent with Nationwide Insurance. He is employed part time at The Vindicator.
