Davis Y offers weekend of relaxation for women
BOARDMAN — The Davis Family YMCA wants women to take a weekend off to enjoy themselves. From Nov. 14 to Nov. 16, the Y is hosting local women for a weekend of fun, pampering and relaxation at the YMCA Camp Fitch. It’s called the Women’s Weekend Get-Away.
Activities will include hot tubs, massage, pedicures, manicures, horseback riding, dance classes and “chocolate heaven.” The focus is for women to relax while enjoying heated cabins with indoor bathrooms and shower facilities.
This is the 11th and final year for the program. Online information and registration are available at www.youngstownymca.org. Click on the Davis Branch, and then on special events. Only YMCA members can register online.
Campbell alumni plan annual scholarship dinner
CAMPBELL — Campbell Memorial High School Alumni Association will have its second annual scholarship dinner Nov. 15 at the Community Center in Roosevelt Park. The event will begin with a social hour with hors d’oeuvres at 5 p.m. followed by dinner at 6.
A reverse raffle with a grand prize of $2,000 will take place, and there will be five $100 winners.
Tickets cost $100 each, and each ticket entitles the holder to take one dinner guest for an additional cost of $25. Only 100 tickets will be sold. To buy a ticket, send a check payable to the Campbell Memorial High School Alumni Association, 280 Sixth St., Campbell OH 44405, and indicate your ticket number preference, if any. This is a major fund-raising event for the Alumni Association. All proceeds from this dinner will be used toward annual scholarships for Campbell Memorial graduating seniors. Professionals to teach classes on careers
BOARDMAN — Classes in the art of clowning will be taught by professionals Wednesday through Nov. 16 at the Holiday Inn South conference center. For more information on the convention, contact midatlanticclownassociation.com.

Picture pets with Santa
CANFIELD — Pet owners have an opportunity to get pictures taken of their pet with Santa from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 6 at Come Stay and Play Pet Resort, 3150 S. Raccoon Road.
