CLUB CALENDAR


ASSOCIATIONS

• NARFE Chapter 14, for active and retired federal employees, will meet at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Saxon Club, 710 Meridian Road. All area federal employees and federal retirees are urged to attend.

• William Penn Association, Branch 28, will meet at 6:30 p.m. Friday at the Grand Buffet Restaurant on Market Street, Boardman. Honored at the event will be 50-year members of the organization. Plans will be finalized for an annual family Christmas party.

CLASSES

• Woodrow Wilson High School January and June Classes of 1947 will meet for breakfast at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Denny’s in Boardman. Members of the classes of 1946 and 1948 are also welcome.

CLUBS

• Austintown II Homemakers Club will meet at 10 a.m. Thursday at Smith’s Corners United Methodist Church. Annette McCarthy, a Red Cross volunteer, will speak about pandemic illnesses, and Dolly Conn will teach a holiday craft. Hostesses are Diane Calinger and McCarthy. The public is welcome.

• Mahoning Valley Cribbage Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at St. James Church, 7640 Glenwood Ave., Boardman. New players are welcome. For more information, call (330) 757-9503.

• McDonald Parents of Performing Arts will meet at 4 p.m. Wednesday in the senior citizens room at the McDonald post office building.

• Youngstown Mothers of Twins will have a guest-night casserole dinner and meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Davidson-Becker Family Life Center, 11 Spring St., Struthers. Ohio and Pennsylvania Mothers of Twins clubs will be guests. Hostesses will be Sue Brandestein, Betsy Pallo and Beth Hommell, and there will be a Chinese raffle and candy corn bingo. • McDonald Literary Guild will meet at 8 p.m. Thursday at Woodland Park United Methodist Church.

RELIGIOUS GROUPS

• Junior Seton Circle will meet at noon Thursday at A La Cart Catering in Canfield. The program will be an auction. Hostesses are chairwoman Fran Sullivan, Maggie Doran, Ginnie Pugh, Mary Sennett, Eleanor Ohle and Dorothy Marik.

• St. Rose Quilting Group will meet at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the parish house.

• St. Vincent de Paul Society of St. Rose Church will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

SOCIETIES

• Gamma Epsilon Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma Society will meet at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Western Reserve United Methodist Church. The speaker will be Kathryn Price, founder of Mission of Love. Fleece blankets will be made for her charity. Members are asked to take used, wearable T-shirts and caps to be donated to the Lakota Indians of South Dakota. There will be light refreshments.

SUPPORT GROUPS

• Fred Childress Greater Mahoning Valley Parkinson Support Group will meet from 2 to 4 p.m. Thursday at Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road. Hosts will be Mike and Ruth Klochak, and there will be exercises with Larry Trombitas. The group will divide for a session on “Caring and Sharing” and a session on “Persons With Parkinson’s.”
