Fugitive apprehended in Cincinnati
CINCINNATI (AP) — The U.S. Marshals Service in southern Ohio says it has arrested a man accused of escaping from a federal prison in Arkansas.
The service says 52-year-old David McGlothlin was arrested Thursday morning near Interstate-75 in Cincinnati, where he was living under an overpass.
Authorities say he had been handing out fliers in the area in an effort to get work as a self-employed handyman. Deputies arrested him as he walked to a potential job location.
The investigation began after local and federal authorities received a tip that he was in the Cincinnati area.
McGlothlin had been a fugitive for about 19 months and was on the Arkansas Most Wanted List for longer than a year. He had been serving time for convictions of interstate theft of motor vehicles.
