Warren vet among 20 in Ohio to be honored

WARREN — The state will recognize a Warren man for his commanding role in helping local veterans.

On Thursday, retired marine Samuel Lanzo will receive a plaque, medal and pin for his long-standing involvement in more than a dozen veteran assistance and memorial services. He is one of 20 Ohioans to be memorialized in the Ohio Veterans Hall of Fame this year.

But Lanzo, now 82 years old, said he has always found satisfaction in what he calls his duty.

For his story, see Thursday's Vindicator or Vindy.com.
