• Benjamin Firestone American Legion Post 290 in Columbiana, serves food from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday with the following daily specials: today, wing night, 6 to 9 p.m.; Friday, fish fry, 4 to 7 p.m., all you can eat, $8 for adults and $4 for children 12 and under, meal includes macaroni and cheese, fries, coleslaw and dessert; and Saturday, Veterans Day luncheon, noon to 2 p.m., free for veterans, $5 donation for others.

THURSDAY

• Col. Louis J. Campbell VFW Post 3538, 157 Lowellville Road, Struthers, will serve a spaghetti dinner from 4 to 7 p.m. Meals will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter, and coffee. Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children under 8. Carryout orders are $6.50 and will be available only until 6 p.m. Containers will be provided.

FRIDAY

• Heritage Presbyterian Church, 1951 Mathews Road, Poland, will be selling chili dinners from 4 to 6:30 p.m. Chili is served with bread, crackers and pie. Prices follow: whole dinner, $5; bowl, $2; refill, $1; quart, $4; slice of pie, $2.50; whole pie, $7; and coffee or punch, 50 cents.

• Holy Trinity Church, 250 Bridge St., Struthers, will sell potato, cabbage and lekvar pirogi. Orders will be taken from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Thursday and from 8 :30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday at (330) 755-0064. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Orders may be picked up from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday. Patrons are asked to provide containers.

• Holy Trinity Serbian Orthodox Church will serve fish dinners from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the church hall, 53 Laird Ave., Youngstown. The menu will consist of baked or fried Icelandic cod or fried haddock; sides of Spanish rice, haluski, macaroni and cheese, french fries or string beans (choose two); coleslaw or applesauce; bread and butter; and coffee or tea. The cost is $9 for adults and $4.50 for children. Dessert will be an additional $1.50. Containers will be provided for takeouts. Orders will be accepted from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. at (330) 792-1005.

• Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church Hall, 526 W. Rayen Ave., Youngstown, will be selling pirogi. The cost for potato or potato with kraut pirogi is $5 a dozen. Orders will be taken from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday at (330) 746-9528. Orders should be placed early and are to be picked up between 10 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Friday. Hot lunches will be available beginning at 11 a.m. Friday.

• Potato and cheese pirogi will be sold at St. Anne Ukrainian Catholic Church, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown. To order, call (330) 799-0084 after 6 p.m. Thursday or after 8 a.m. Friday. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday. Cost is $5 per bag of one dozen (no containers necessary). Walk-ins are welcome, but no sales before 11 a.m. Patrons are asked to use the side entrance.

• St. Anthony Church, 1125 Turin Ave., Youngstown, will sell pizza and other Italian treats. Orders may be placed by calling (330) 746-9577 from 6:30 to 10:30 a.m. and must be picked up by 1 p.m. Friday.

• Potato, prune and kraut pirogi will be sold at St. Joseph the Provider Church, 633 Porter Ave., Campbell. Cost is $4.50 a dozen. Frozen pirogi will be sold while supplies last. Phone orders may be made beginning at 8 a.m. at (330) 755-1316, and orders can be picked up beginning at noon. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers. No walk-in orders will be available.

• St. Luke Church, 5235 South Ave., Boardman, will bake Italian-style red and white pizza. Phone orders will be accepted at (330) 788-0025 between 9 a.m. and noon only. Pickup will be until 1 p.m. Price is $6 for regular or Brier Hill pizza and $5 for white pizza.

• St. Paul the Apostle Church, Main Street, New Middletown, will sell potato, sweet cabbage and cottage cheese pirogi. Orders can be called to (330) 542-3525 from 7 to 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday. No walk-in orders will be accepted. Pickup will be from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

• St. Stanislaus Church, 430 Williamson Ave., Youngstown, will sell potato, kraut and cottage cheese pirogi. Advance orders will be taken at (330) 747-3024 from 8:30 to 11 a.m. Thursday and 8 a.m. to noon Friday, based upon availability. Pickup will be by 2 p.m. Lunches will be served from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday. Patrons are asked to provide their own containers and use the side entrance. • Tod Avenue United Methodist Church, Warren, will sell all-you-can-eat fish dinners from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Meals will include deep-fried ocean perch, home-fried potatoes, coleslaw, bread, homemade desserts and beverage. The cost is $8 for adults and $3 for children. Meatloaf will also be available. Meals can be delivered to the Tod and Buckeye high-rise apartments if the church is called before 1 p.m. at (330) 393-3859. The Christmas and Attic rooms will be open during the dinner.

SATURDAY

• Austintown Community Church, 242 S. Canfield Niles Road, will be the setting for a semiannual roast beef dinner to be sponsored by Project G.R.O.W. from 4 to 7 p.m. in the handicap accessible fellowship hall. Meals include salad, homemade rolls, pie and beverage. The cost is $7.50 for adults, $3.50 for children 5 to 11 and free for children 5 and under. Carryouts will be available. Orders will be accepted at the church office, (330) 799-4214, for whole pumpkin, cherry, apple, lemon, coconut and sugar-free banana pies ($8 each) to be picked up at the dinner.

• Fowler United Methodist Church, 3426 Youngstown-Kingsville Road, will serve chicken-pie dinners from 3:30 to 6 p.m. Meals will include potatoes, green beans, applesauce, coleslaw, bread, dessert and beverage. • New Waterford United Methodist Church, 46925 S. State St., New Waterford, will serve a sausage, egg and pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to noon. Donations will benefit the building fund. • Old Springfield United Church of Christ, 11957 state Route 170, south of New Middletown, will sponsor a turkey dinner with all the trimmings, including dessert and beverage, from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Dinners are $8 for adults, $3.50 for children 5 to 12, and free for those 4 and under. There will be a bake sale and Chinese auction from 10 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

SUNDAY

• Jackson Township Fire Department Auxiliary will serve pancake and sausage breakfasts from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Jackson Township Administration Building, 10613 Mahoning Ave. Meals are $5 for adults and $2.50 for children 5 to 12. Those 4 and under eat free.

• Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church on Via Mount Carmel, Youngstown, will sponsor a spaghetti dinner from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the church hall. Cost is $6 for adults and $3.50 for children. Carryouts will be available; containers are $1 or you can provide your own.

• St. George Croatian Center, 3200 Vestal Road, will have a chicken dinner from noon to 4 p.m. Meals include chicken noodle soup, 1/2 baked chicken, mashed potatoes, green beans, salad, roll, dessert and coffee or tea.
